Family Promise of Juneau provides homeless prevention and shelter services for Children and their families experiencing homelessness.

How to Sign Up: You can find out more information on our website above. We try to work with the skills, and support volunteers can offer. One of the most significant opportunities is to host our families in our shelter. We would pick a week, and volunteers would provide meals and volunteer support in the evening and overnights.

Our mission is based on the same strong beliefs as those of our founders more than 40 years ago – no Alaskan should go hungry, we need to recover food that would be wasted otherwise, and we share what we have. Food Bank of Alaska is dedicated to eliminating hunger in Alaska by obtaining and providing food to partner agencies feeding hungry people and through anti-hunger leadership.

How to Sign Up: We have volunteer activities 5 days/week, 51 weeks each year. You can help pack senior boxes, sort donated produce, label and bag fruit, distribute food to families at our mobile pantries, help deliver food boxes to home-bound seniors, write notes for senior boxes, serve as a social media ambassador, and more. Covenant House Alaska
Covenant House Alaska serves youth ages 13-24 who are facing or at risk of facing homelessness. Our goal is to make the experience of youth homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring. We offer wrap around services to our youth that includes everything from access to housing and food to job readiness training and mental health services.

How to Sign Up: Volunteers will first fill out our volunteer application and will then begin our application process that differs depending on the volunteer role one is interested in.
